The knowledge of the anatomy, physiology and innervation of the digestive tract will enable you to deal more effectively with algology during colic: understanding the pathophysiology, management of visceral pain during equine colic and well-being of horses. In this way, the management of a horse suffering from colic will be easier and more appropriate, by anticipating the deterioration in the animal's general condition and avoiding the side effects of the molecules to be used.
