Cytogenetic effects in 12 individuals addicted to Cannabis were evaluated in vitro. The present study reveals that there is no increase in the chromosomal aberrations, but a significant increase in sister chromatid exchanges is recorded in those individuals when compared to 10 unexposed controls.
