Abstract

We propose in this paper a new approach for solving the Navier-Stokes equations in 3D. This method is based on a combination of a finite element method for spatial discretization and the characteristic method for time discretization. Some numerical simulations of the velocity vector and errors are presented. we compared our numerical solution with the one of Green-Taylor in order to verify the consistence of this method.
