Abstract

The study's goal was to determine the flower yield and concrete yield of Agave amica L. The various treatments were imposed for the study, and the concrete recovery percentage was compared with all of the treatments that included marigold as an intercrop as well as with the control that did not include intercropping. Tuberose bulbs are said to contain the alkaloid lycorine, which produces vomiting. The bulbs are thought to be diuretic and emetic. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the quality of the flowers gathered as a result of tuberose and marigold intercropping. The flowers were extracted with the solvent namely hexane. In the first and second years, the treatment T1 recovered the most concrete (0.171 percent and 0.157 percent), followed by T2 (0.167 percent and 0.145 percent), while T6 recovered the least concrete (0.104 percent and 0.103 percent). The shelf life in the T1 treatment (5.53 days) recorded the highest number of days, and the T6 treatment discovered the lowest number of days (4.63 days). T1 recorded the longest tuberose vase life (6.92 days), whereas T6 recorded the shortest (5.41 days). The identified compounds acts as an inhibitor, solvent, defense compounds, phyto compounds and their biological significance can help in the pharmacogical applications.
